Objective

The Rotary International Future Forum – Enable tomorrow engages active Rotarians, Rotaractors and Alumni of Rotary Programs from all around the world to find future solutions. The forum consists of short keynote presentations and many interactive sessions to spark discussion on ideas for tomorrow:

1. Understand the future: Identify key trends and challenges (technology innovaton, sustainablitiy, resilience, social stability & peace, business).
2. Define action fields: Develop concrete projects and strategic initiatives.
3. Strengthen networks: Foster stronger collaboration between the participants.
4. Position Rotary: Clarify Rotary’s role and contribution leading the solutions for the challenges.

The main goal of this event is to develop a shared vision and concrete areas of action for the future of the society and Rotary as well as start initiatives creating a better world for our children, as they are the future. The aim is to empower participants to develop innovative ideas and their implementation.

Official welcome, startup pitch and get together with food, drink, entertainment

Saturday: Enable Tomorrow Ideation

• Keynotes in plenary session 
• Future Cafes on technology innovaton, sustainablitiy, resilience, social stability & peace, business (Participant can choose 2 topics, topics are repeated two times)
• Lunch
• Future scenario planning workshops to playfully develop different, plausible future scenarios (five sessions in parallel, participants choose one of the topic)
• Project canvas workshops to transform ideas into actionable concepts. This defines target groups, necessary resources, partners, and potential obstacles.
• Project implementation plan to establish next actions (who does what by when?).
• Dinner and evening experience

Sunday: Enable Tomorrow Implementation

• House of Projects to present the ideas of previous day
• Presentation of key project ideas
• Keynote on project implementation (post agile)
• Keynote on taking responsibility
• Closing session
• Lunch
• Optional workshops to continue the discussions and plan next steps including Rotarian leadership retreat
• Optional guided tours of Berlin and future places in Berlin
